In industrial environments, doors on distribution boxes, control cabinets, and large electrical cabinets are frequently opened and closed to ensure smooth operation. The Yitailock Connecting Rod Lock is a commonly used solution that provides cabinet door stability through its multi-point locking design, while also offering convenient and reliable operation.

Before installation, clients should confirm the size and thickness of the door, as well as the model of the connecting rod lock. Choose a model that is the right height and weight for the cabinet. Smaller cabinets, like sheet metal ones, can use compact models, such as 35×85 mm or 35×111 mm. Larger cabinets often use the standard connecting rod lock, which has a lock body size of 149×36 mm. Larger cabinets often use the standard Connecting Rod Lock, which has a lock body size of 149×36mm.
Choose the material according to the application: for lightweight use, aluminum alloy is sufficient; for stronger requirements, an aluminum lock body with a zinc alloy handle is recommended; semi-outdoor cabinets work well with full zinc alloy, and outdoor cabinets are best fitted with stainless steel.
Lock cylinders vary by model and include options such as single-bit, double-bit, wafer, or half-moon designs. After selecting the lock body, pick matching Pull Rod / Tie Rods. The rod’s length and diameter can be customized according to the door size, chosen from 21 standard styles in stock. Customization does not incur labor fees for shorter lengths; pricing is based on the rod’s dimensions.
Fix the lock body into the pre-drilled opening on the cabinet door, ensuring the latch aligns with the door frame.
Connect the top and bottom rods so that all lock points line up between the lock body and the frame.
Install lock plates appropriate to the door thickness to ensure smooth closure and even force distribution.
For added security, select a model with a hasp that allows for a padlock.
Test the door's opening and closing to ensure the latch moves smoothly and the door is properly aligned without any looseness or sticking.
The Connecting Rod Lock is compatible with small, medium, and large distribution boxes, control cabinets, and industrial equipment cabinets.
